Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
- Minoku has no accounts. You never sign up or give us your name or email.
- Your progress, stars, scores, settings and hint balance are stored only on your device. We have no server that receives them.
- We use Google AdMob for ads, Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, and RevenueCat to handle Minoku Premium and hint pack purchases.
- On iPhone and iPad, your advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking. Where the law requires it, ads follow the choices you make in Google's consent form. We do not sell your data.
This policy explains what information the Minoku mobile app ("Minoku", "the app") handles on iOS and Android, why, and what choices you have. Minoku is published by Hangar Apps ("we", "us"). If you have a question, contact us at [email protected].
1. Information stored only on your device
The following data is saved locally in the app's private storage and is not uploaded to us:
- Progress: for each level you have solved, your best stars, best time and best score. Minoku uses this to open chapters on the map and to show your total stars and score.
- Settings: vibration, show timer, highlight mistakes, language and daily reminder choices
- Purchases on this device: your balance of bought hints not used yet, and whether Premium was active the last time the app checked, so it can start without ads before the store answers
- App state: whether you have finished the introduction, whether the notification permission has already been asked, and a counter of levels solved since the last full-screen ad
Uninstalling Minoku removes all of this data, including any unused bought hints. If you use your device's own backup (for example iCloud Backup or Google backup), that backup may include Minoku's data under your device settings. Minoku has no cloud sync, so we cannot recover lost progress or hints for you. A Premium subscription can always be restored, because it is tied to your App Store or Google Play account.
2. Information handled by third-party services
Minoku includes a few services from other companies. They may collect information from your device as described below and in their own privacy policies.
| Service | What it's for | Data it may collect |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Showing a full-screen ad after every few solved levels, and a rewarded ad when you choose to watch one for a hint | Advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone and iPad only with your permission, Android Advertising ID), IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and ad interactions such as views, taps and whether a rewarded ad was watched to the end |
| Google Firebase Analytics | Understanding how the game is played so we can improve it, for example which levels are too hard | Screens viewed, level starts and finishes (chapter, level, stars, score, mistakes and time), how hints were used, which product was bought, an app instance ID, device model, OS version, language, approximate country (derived from IP address), and on devices where allowed, the advertising identifier |
| Google Firebase Crashlytics | Finding and fixing crashes and errors | Crash logs and stack traces, errors such as a failed store request, device model, OS version, app version and an installation identifier |
| RevenueCat | Processing and restoring Minoku Premium and hint pack purchases | A random anonymous user ID created on your device, purchase and transaction details (product, price, date, store receipt), device and app information, and IP address |

3. Payments
Minoku Premium (a monthly or yearly subscription) and hint packs are paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We and RevenueCat never see your card number or other payment details. We only learn whether Premium is active and which pack was bought, so the app can unlock Premium and add the hints.
4. Tracking, ads and your choices
- iPhone and iPad: when you first open Minoku, it asks for permission to track you through App Tracking Transparency. If you don't allow it, your IDFA is not used by AdMob or Firebase; you still see ads, but they are less relevant to you. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Consent form: where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent form then asks how your data may be used for advertising, and no ads are requested until your choices allow it. In those regions you can reopen the form at any time from Settings → Ad and privacy choices in the app.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Once deleted, apps can no longer use it for personalized ads or analytics.
- Optional ads and Premium: rewarded ads play only when you tap to watch one for a hint. With Premium, no ads are shown between levels.
5. Device features and permissions
- Notifications (optional): if you allow them, Minoku schedules local reminders on your device, twice a day at 13:00 and 20:00. They are created on your phone; no push token is created or sent to us. You can turn reminders off in Settings → Daily reminder or in your device settings.
- Vibration: light haptic taps while you play. You can turn them off in Settings.
- Rating prompt: when you tap Rate the app, Minoku opens the App Store or Google Play rating dialog. Your rating goes to Apple or Google, not to us.
- Web pages: Support, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use open this website in an in-app browser. Like any website, its host receives your IP address and browser information to deliver the page.
- Minoku does not use your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar or precise location.
6. Why we process data (legal bases)
Where the EU/UK GDPR or Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) applies, we rely on:
- Your consent for personalized ads, tracking on iOS and notifications. You can withdraw it at any time with the controls above.
- Performing our contract with you to provide, renew and restore Premium and to deliver the hint packs you buy.
- Our legitimate interest in funding a free game with non-personalized ads, keeping ads free of fraud, understanding how the game is played, fixing crashes, and answering your emails.
7. Retention
Data on your device stays there until you uninstall the app. Advertising, analytics and crash data is kept by the providers above for a limited period under their own retention settings, and then deleted or anonymized. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to restore your subscription and to meet legal and tax obligations. If you email us, we keep the conversation only as long as needed to help you, and then delete it.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they use recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Children
Minoku is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will help remove it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, KVKK, or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Minoku has no accounts and keeps your game data only on your device, so you can delete it by uninstalling the app. For data held by the providers above, use the choices in section 4, or email us at [email protected]; include your app instance ID or advertising ID if you can, and we will forward your request. We do not sell your personal information. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to this policy
If Minoku starts handling data differently, for example by adding a new service, we will update this policy before that version is released. The "Last updated" date at the top always shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the app or in the store release notes.
